Gil Shwed, Co-Founder and CEO of Check Point

Gil is speaking on Wednesday, June 20th at 11:35 am. Gil Shwed, Israeli co-founder and CEO of Check Point, is considered the inventor of the modern firewall and has authored several patents, including Check Point’s Stateful Inspection Technology – an advanced firewall technology invented in the early 1990s. Check Point was established in 1993 in Ramat-Gan, Israel. Today, it is a public company with about 4,000 employees – an Israeli multinational provider of software and combined hardware and software products for IT security that boasted $1.741 billion in revenue in 2016. The company is currently focused on what it calls fifth generation cyber security, or Gen V. Gil has been recognized in many forums for his contributions to the cybersecurity industry and beyond. He received honorary Doctor of Science degrees from the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology and from Tel Aviv University, as well as receiving the World Economic Forum’s Global Leader for Tomorrow Award and the Academy of Achievement’s Golden Plate Award. Most recently, Gill received Israel’s most prestigious prize for technology, the Startup National pioneer. His story is the story of Israeli high tech: a graduate of one of Israel’s top military intelligence units, 8200, who founded Check Point – Gil blazed the trail and served as an inspiration for other Israeli high-tech entrepreneurs.

Sajan Pillai, CEO of UST Global

Sajan is speaking on Wednesday, June 20th at 2:10 pm. Sajan Pillai is CEO at UST Global, an American multinational provider of digital, IT services and solutions – and a rapidly growing services company, with more than 17,000 employees today. CyberProof Managed Security Services represents UST’s major investment in cybersecurity in Israel. CyberProof leverages automation and AI technologies to keep organizations safe during their digital transitions and beyond. Sajan is currently responsible for UST Global’s growth and acquisitions and leads its global business operations through centers in the US, the UK, Spain, India, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Mexico, Australia, Poland, and Israel. Sajan was recognized as one of the 100 CEO Leaders in STEM by STEMConnector. Among his many accomplishments, Sajan introduced a program called Step IT Up America to train and hire 5,000 women technologists, in his role as Chairman of the Diversity Committee of STEM.

Chris Young, CEO of McAfee

Chris is speaking on Wednesday, June 20th at 10:50 am. Christopher (Chris) Young is CEO of McAfee, the well-known, American global computer security software company recognized as the world’s largest dedicated security technology company. McAfee primarily develops digital-security tools for personal computers and server devices and, more recently, for mobile devices. In 2014 Chris joined Intel, and later led the initiative to spin out McAfee. Under Chris’ leadership, McAfee – which has nearly 7,000 employees on staff – protects mission-critical systems and data for nine of ten Fortune 100 firms, and is used by governments and organizations of every size as well as by almost 300 million consumers. Chris also serves as a member of the President’s National Security Telecommunication Advisory Committee (NSTAC), which advises the U.S. government on national security and emergency preparedness. He was also involved in the establishment of the Cyber Threat Alliance, a non-profit group of companies who share threat intelligence, and he serves on its board.

Mike DeCesare, President & CEO of ForeScout

Mike is speaking on Wednesday, June 20th at 11:05 on the topic of, “How to Make the Invisible Visible.” Michael (Mike) DeCesare is President, CEO, and a member of the Board of Directors of ForeScout, which provides Global 2000 enterprises and government agencies with agentless visibility and control of traditional and IoT devices the instant they connect to the network. ForeScout reported total revenue of $66 million and 32% year-over-year revenue growth for 2017. Mike is a key figure in the cybersecurity industry with over 25 years of experience at industry-leading companies. He served as President of Intel Security and Executive Vice President of Worldwide Sales at McAfee. He also held the position of Senior VP of Worldwide Field Operations at EMC Software group at EMC Corporation, and was the Co-General Manager for EMC’s Content Management and Archive business. Mike holds of Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Villanova University. |
